BEACH PARTY Sept 8th, 2K18
Sun, sea and sand are already the perfect fusion. Add in some fantastic friends, groovy tunes, and scrumptious food, and you have the perfect formula for a day to remember for eternity.
The essence of style is preparation. Therefore, if one really desires for their beach party to be a success, they’re going to have to put some forethought into it. Which is indeed what the ZCRS Student Council did, ensuring that it hit all the right notes, and stayed in people’s minds for years to come.
Students and a few faculty members assembled at the university premises (both, North and Clifton) by 9:00 A.M. as directed, and the coasters hummed to life at precisely 9:30 A.M. By the time everyone reached their destination -which was Turtle Beach- the clock had struck 10:30.
Whilst people took time to get settled in and unpack their possessions inside their respective huts, the caterers got breakfast ready, and by the time everyone was through, Halwa Puri and Chai had been served. People buzzed around the tables for another half an hour, before they dispersed for their next pursuit.
There are three types of people on the beach: One, who dance to the blasting music like there is no tomorrow, second, who consider photographs to be the most crucial part of any event, and lastly, the people who plunge into the sea and only come out when its time to go home. All of these kinds were witnessed among the Ziauddin population on the 8th of September, 2018.
Perhaps the highlights of the day were the speedboat and the jet ski, for which people patiently stood in extensive queues. It was a spinetingling experience, with the spray in your face, the breeze in your hair and the adrenaline in your blood, if you went on full throttle. However, it could’ve gotten scary for the first-timers.
Finally, lunch was served at 4:00 P.M. the distinctive Pakistani cuisine, which included Biryani and Tikka Paratha and soft drinks on the side. People were then advised to pack up once they were done and head to their respective coasters.
And that is how the day ended. With tanned skin, aching bodies, and large, satiated smiles.
